Pretty Green autumn-winter collection

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

STOKE-ON-TRENT - Looking good in the autumn and winter can be tricky for men everywhere, you have to stay warm and dry but often this is to the detriment to style and fashion, however a menswear store in Stoke-on-Trent is working hard to correct the balance with its new product ranges this autumn.
There are no shortages of designer fashion labels that take great amounts of inspiration and influence from 1980’s football terrace culture, many of these labels have been founded many years after the football casuals’ heyday of the 80’s. One of these labels, Pretty Green, was founded in 2009 in Milan by former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The label has won a series of industry awards for its striking and innovative designs and in general has been making great waves in the fashion world. Gallagher’s brand is not only influenced by the notorious terrace culture, but also has hints of mod culture of the 60’s and has a hint of Oasis’s own glory days of 1990’s Britpop. However the singer will openly admit that he has no input into the design or production of the clothing, he does though, approve of the final designs.
In particular Pretty Green jackets and shirts have, in the past, been big sellers at Terraces, and this year’s autumn and winter collection adds thirteen new coats to compliment Terraces existing stock. Included in the range includes winter takes on the popular Festival style jacket and the Harrington style jacket, these two shorter style are complimented by the addition of a selection of longer pieces, which are perfect for the cold winter months. These longer pieces include the navy style mac coat which includes an adjustable waist coat and angled welt pockets.
Terraces Menswear are also stocking a generous selection of Pretty Green Parka’s and hooded jackets this autumn and winter, Terraces has selected a Khaki style a black coloured parka jacket and is offering hooded jackets in red, navy and in a camo style design.
In terms of the Pretty Green shirts offered by Terraces Menswear, range is influenced and inspired by classic British tailoring and offers customers shirts that can be worn as part of a formal or more casual look with shirts available in check and plain blue, navy and white.
Pretty Green is not the only designer brand available at the store, Terraces offers a full range of menswear essentials that could complement those styles offered by Liam Gallagher's brand or that will enable you create your own unique style.
[as Liam says: you shouldn't wear only Pretty Green. - Marco]
The autumn and winter 2012 Pretty Green selection at Terraces can be bought online from www.terracesmenswear.co.uk or by popping into Terraces store in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, both of which offer the shopper an excellent and satisfactory shopping experience where advice is easily obtainable.

NEW YORK - Pretty Green has shown the Spring/Summer 2013 collection at New York’s Nolcha fashion week. It’s the first time a collection has been previewed in New York and there was great excitement and interest in the range, as it went down a storm with the US audience.
Nolcha fashion week is a key date in the fashion calendar for designers and brands alike, as it’s an important way to showcase collections to the US market. Over the past five years Nolcha Fashion Week has established itself as a platform for promoting innovative fashion designers through runway shows and exhibition during New York Fashion Week.
As a young British brand it was fantastic to be a part of Nolcha and to get such an exceptional response, we’ll look forward to being involved again.
