LONDON - Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher’s clothing label Pretty Green will open a pop-up store on London’s Carnaby Street with interior design and branded environment work carried out by Neighbour.
The temporary store opens on 30 July and will be in place until Christmas. It comprises a two-storey 200 m2 space with basement and will serve as a showroom for trade clients.
Neighbour approached Pretty Green speculatively, offering to help position the brand, which had a marque created by Sane and Able in May 2009.
Floor-to-ceiling panels will feature photography of the spring-summer collection in the main first floor showroom space.
The ground floor and basement areas, used primarily to store stock, will feature oversize images of Gallagher from a Brighton beach photo-shoot and include a panoramic oversize shot of the singer.
‘Everything has a bit of a Quadrophenia feel to it,’ says Neighbour creative director Phil Sims, who adds that the space was previously occupied by Central St Martins College of Art and Design ‘which left it with a white space, art gallery feel’.
A Milan Lambretta Li 150 scooter which featured in the film has been sourced and will sit in the store. ‘We’ll be able to add more to the space if [Pretty Green] keeps it on,’ says Sims.
